The Stuff the Hummer Campaign is about strengthening our community. It’s about getting together with friends and family, and letting us show you how much we appreciate your business and referrals!
Since 2008, “Stuff the Hummer” special events have been staged for friends and clients, with our compliments. The range of venues has grown to encompass Movie Nights and Movie Mornings, Skating Parties, Movies in the Park, Pumpkin Giveaways, Coat Drives and Lunchtime Barbeques. David’s signature Hummer is parked out front at each venue and guests are invited to support the Food Bank of Waterloo Region with a non-perishable food or monetary donation. Volunteers are on hand to collect items and tax receipts are provided for cash donations of $10 or more.
ALL PROCEEDS are delivered to the Food Bank on the next business day.
“Many people have asked why we host our team events this way,” David says. “I could write a cheque directly to the Food Bank, but Stuff the Hummer is about raising awareness. These get-togethers are an opportunity to bring attention to a very real need in our community, and the simple act of putting food on the table is something to which we can all relate.”
Each event generates awareness of the needs in our community and support to help make things better. A can of soup is like a drop in a bucket…with each donation and each dollar, the ripple we make as a family grows!
